I have "Bernhard Modern Std" and it seems to work fine on XeTeX W32.
Please check if the name "Bernhard Std" is recognized by
fontconfig or not.
I think font names that fontconfig understands can be found
in a file "foo" made by
fc-list >foo
(utf-8 encoding)
if cache files were created.
