[XeTeX] Package geometry with XeTeX

It might have to do with the nature of your notes. From what I  
remember, footmisc cannot break the page in the middle of a paragraph  
note, so if the last note on the page spans several lines you're  
going to have a problem.

CTAN has a version of footmisc newer than the the one included with  
gwTeX.

Did you try doing it with the memoir document class, which will  
handle the geometry and footnotes?
