I'd recommend to put it this way:

\defaultfontfeatures{Mapping=tex-text}

because you will want this for all fonts you are using.

This line is the crucial one for using Seria. I you are using the  
bold face too, you should also add a BoldFont directive in the brackets.

FF Seria is a great typeface, but it's a pity that the Fontshop  
people up to this time have insisted on not arranging all of their  
font files so the various faces of a family are coupled together.  
This is a deliberate decision – I asked them about that some years  
ago. Even in ordinary word processsors you can't italicize those  
fonts in an easy way, but have to pick out the variant itself in the  
font menu (go try to change the font of an existing document to Seria  
in Word ...).

BTW, does anyone know how to ›repair‹ this feature with FontForge, to  
put together the pieces?
