Sorry, it is not due to XeTeX but an error in the file ex1.tex.

One can see from the followings that the file length of ex1.tex reported by `DIR` is 45 bytes while `debug` can find 47 bytes. What is wrong with it?

  Hi,

> I am using TL2008test-20080724. The XeTeX version is 0.999.3

I cannot reproduce the error by using the same binary:

Akira
