So it does. I guess it worked for Cyril because he was using xdv2pdf,
probably.
I've just checked-in an update for xdvipdfmx so that it won't die on
fonts with format 4.0 'post' tables; this is apparently a
(relatively) new format that Apple has defined, and I hadn't run into
it previously.
