This sample works fine for me (see attached).
It's probably a XeTeX 0.996 bug; what version does the user have? I
seem to recall that there was a problem with some newer Adobe fonts,
because of how they're constructing the OpenType tables, and this was
fixed sometime in the post-0.996 timeframe.
