This is not a philosophical issue, in general, and certainly not an
epistemological debate. Please check out the following URL:
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/otspec/otover.htm
Here is the first sentence:
"The OpenType font format is an extension of the TrueType font format,
adding support for PostScript font data."
In different words, this is in agreement with what has been stated
earlier: every TrueType font is by definition an OpenType font.
