Hello!
The \XeLaTeX and the \XeTeX logos from xltxtra.sty are typeset
differently, on the same line, with the same font. Particularly the
difference (or kerning) between the first X and the lowered Ǝ (LATIN
CAPITAL LETTER REVERSED E, U+018E, here, in the logo actually
reversed by rotating thanks to graphicx package, where it's real
funny when slanted or italic or handwritten):

In the first instance the kerning seems to be switched off, in the
reprise it's on and OK. My LOG file tells:

% \setromanfont{Baskerville}
% \setromanfont[ItalicFont={HiraMinPro-W3:+ital},BoldItalicFont=
{HiraMinPro-W6:+ital},BoldFont={HiraMinPro-W6}]{HiraMinPro-W3}
% \setromanfont[ItalicFont={HiraKakuPro-W3:+ital},BoldFont=

Baskerville does not show the effect, and also some other Latin
script fonts, neither do Korean or Chinese fonts. The Japanese
Hiragino fonts show it, except Osaka. (They're all fonts in Mac OS
X.) And the last line *only* shows the effect when I use a font that
does not have all the variants.
Mac OS X 10.4.11, TeX Live 2008 from MacTeX August 2008. This is
