[XeTeX] ft-ligature in TeX Gyre Pagella

Sorry Tobias, I was missing your point entirely!

I tried your example, confronting the result of these lines:

\setmainfont{texgyrepagella-regular.otf}
Alfi often eats puff waffles.\\
\fontspec[Ligatures=NoCommon]{texgyrepagella-regular.otf}
Alfi often eats puff waffles.

I tried also Historical and Rare ligatures, but nothing like an ft ligature around. Maybe another of the Palatino variations in the market will have it?
