[XeTeX] Monospace font, not being set in monospace

I'm only testing with the TeX Live 2010 pretest release and I can see  
that pdfLaTeX and LuaLaTeX produce correct output (two spaces) while  
XeLaTeX with fontspec v. 1 fails.
