[XeTeX] when one needs more than XeTeX+OT fonts?

Some fonts that look good when printed on a laser or inkjet printer come 
out too light when used in traditional offset printing.  You need to 
test the fonts in advance if you plan to produce a book and you want 
really high quality results.  Hinting doesn't matter when material is 
printed on a high-resolution device.

PDFs have become a standard in the printing industry and your output 
from Xe(La)TeX should print just fine.  Mine always have, anyway (but my 
stuff is text-oriented; if you are using a lot of color photos etc. 
things can get more complicated).
