[XeTeX] using glyph from private use area

You need \XeTeXglyph.

There's also \XeTeXglyphindex to look up the glyph ID by name.

Putting these together, \XeTeXglyph\XeTeXglyphindex "yaPhalaa_gran" 
should do what you want.
