TUG 2005, the 26th annual meeting of the TeX Users Group, will be held in Wuhan, China, from August 23-25, 2005. CTUG (the Chinese TeX User Group, founded in 1999) has committed to handle the conference affairs.
Please submit a title and abstract for papers or presentations via email to tug2005@tug.org, by April 1, 2005.
Preprints received by August 1, 2005, will be included in the conference program. The final proceedings will be prepared as a TUGboat issue, after the conference.
The conference fees for members of any TeX user group (in US dollars):

This is the first TUG conference to be held in China. Wuhan is close to the birthplace of Taoism and the Three Gorges Reservoir. China is also the birthplace of typography in ancient times, and is simply a very interesting place to go.
The TeX community in China has been growing over the years. China is one of the few countries in the world which has heavily applied free software (including TeX, GNU/Linux, and more) in industry. The rich human resources and the creative TeX hackers have become a part of the engine driving the global TeX community. TUG 2005 is a good opportunity to meet them.
The growing market is ready to use your expertise. Many libraries, publishing houses, and scientific organizations in China are eager to use your TeX expertise.
