[tex-live] Severe bug in texlive20040625 DVD image

No, just i386-linux.
I have performed the installation again, this time with the standard
scheme, and still get no binary installed when I use the DVD image.
The CD image works for me (except for the map problems already
reported), with the CD
image the binaries are installed.

My system is Debian (sarge). Here is what I do and what
I see on the screen:

root# unset TEXMFCNF
root# echo $PATH
/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/
bin

Note: /usr/sbin/texconfig exists (tetex is part of my Debian distrib).

# cd /cdrom
# sh install-tl.sh

As you can see above, the installation process claims that binaries
are getting installed (bin-texconfig etc.)  but it is not true :-(
