[texhax] Q: graphicx, pdflatex ; size scale, position re-adjust?

Another way to get (la)tex formatted strings (maths, etc.) onto/into
graphics is to use the tex-to-float plugin which comes with gimp (you
need to have gimp-perl installed). Of course this means you need to use
gimp to mainuplate your graphics, and you end up with a bit map (do it
in large font and then scale down the result to get the desired
resolution).

No need to start a discussion of the relative pros and cons of xfig and
gimp!
