[XeTeX] quotes, why this? (sorry if this is a duplicate)

You can also do this from within Font Book, in Panther. If I look at
Times, I have two entries for each Bold, Regular, Italic or BoldItalic,
one disactived by default (signalled by a small bullet on the right).
Moving the mouse on the name I see a small rectangle appearing telling
one is:
